Christmas hamper
Christmas is a time to remember and celebrate the birth of Jesus, and the gift of love and purpose he offers us. The Bible says Jesus is “the hope of all the world” (Matthew 12:21) because he offers us peace, wholeness, unconditional love and meaning for our lives.
Although Christmas is meant to be a time of celebration and joy, if finances are tight, it can be challenging, stressful and isolating. Whatever challenges you have faced this year, The Salvation Army believes there is still a reason to hope, and we are here to help alleviate this stress for families and seniors struggling financially.
The Portage Salvation Army Christmas Hamper Program helps bring joy and relief to individuals and families in need during the holiday season. Each registered household receives a hamper filled with food essentials and gifts for children under the age of 15.
Registration for 2025 opens online in November.
